As we begin 2013, we’d like to take a moment to thank you for a fantastic 2012. We have met some of the nicest people (and dogs, too) this year. We attended many wonderful dog shows, pet expos, agility trials and festivals and hope to attend many more in the coming months.

We are so pleased to announce we have added a new color to our line! Our long awaited Brown/Cream totes and pouches arrived this week. They are now available in both large and small and we have matching pouches too. The new small totes have the longer shoulder straps and ,of course, all of our large totes fit easily on the shoulder even when packed.

It still feels like summer here in Florida but the holidays are just around the corner. I hadn’t thought about it until I walked into one of the “big box stores” this week and saw the displays. Halloween decorations, pumpkins, and witches along side the Christmas trees and Frosty the Snowman.

Hurricane season officially begins on June 1 and we’d like to remind everyone to prepare your pet for any type of emergency situation. Hurricanes, fires, floods and family emergencies are just a few examples why “Fido” and “Kitty” needs a packed bag!
Here are a few tips to get you started:
1.) Vacuum seal a 3-5 day supply of their favorite dry food. This will keep it fresh for many months and also protects it from getting wet or crushed.
2.) Make a list of emergency phone numbers including your veterinarian and your local 24 hour emergency clinic. Make a note of shelters in your area that accept pets, and have a backup plan (family or friends) just in case.
3.)Current Immunization Records!!! and any medications you might need for 3-5 days.
3.) Place a current photo of your pet in your emergency bag just in case you need to make fliers.
4.) Pack a towel. This can be used for everything from drying off, wiping up, cleaning up and bedding.
5.) Pack a small flashlight in your bag. This is very handy for late night potty breaks in unfamiliar areas.
Don’t forget the essentials like collars, leashes, toys, brushes, and water.
